Life’s not slowing down, and the reality is that it can swing unpredictably from one day to the next. Sadly, one in four adults will experience a chronic condition in their lifetime, and among those 65 and older, over 90% are already living with one. Even in our midlife years, the stats aren't overly rosy, with more than 75% of adults aged 35-to-64 managing at least one health issue. Hmm . . . not ideal.

So, with all these facts and figures, it begs the Bucket List question: “What are we waiting for?” In a 2018 study published in the Journal of Palliative Medicine, nine out of 10 people surveyed had a bucket list. The most common item? Travel. Chasing new roads or immersing yourself in wide-open landscapes, the pull to get out, and see, feel and smell runs deep. Especially when there's a bike involved!

So, we at Guzzi NZ say: let’s tick off that list! And what better way to begin than a motorcycle trip through New Zealand . . .

From the coastal roads of the Coromandel to the alpine curves surrounding Queenstown, NZ offers some of the world’s most stunning riding. One minute you're carving through the beech tree forests of the South Island’s West Coast, the next you're gazing across volcanic plateaus in the Central North Island’s Tongariro National Park. It's therapy on two wheels.

We’ve met riders from every corner of the globe on our Kiwi roads and they all say the same thing “Wish we’d come here sooner!” We know how easy it is to put things off but when your knees creak and your bike gathers dust, will you wish you’d press go sooner?

For those who say spirituality or religion doesn’t mean much to them, guess what? You’re statistically less likely to even have a bucket list. We believe there’s something deeply spiritual about throttling through a sunrise or sunset at Aoraki or stargazing at Lake Tekapo.

So, let’s not just talk bucket lists, let’s ride them.
