Need something to lift the mood? Start planning your trip to the Tattley Rappet NZ Moto Guzzi rally this October.
The Tattley Rappet has been part of the Moto Guzzi calendar in New Zealand for decades — a rider-focused gathering that’s built its reputation on good people, legendry bikes, and a no-fuss approach to getting together.
Over the years it’s been hosted in a range of locations across the country, from the central North Island through to the lower South Island, with past meets taking in places like Taumarunui, National Park, the Wairarapa, Nelson, and the Mackenzie Country. The locations change, but the format stays the same: ride in, catch up, head out on some of the best roads in the region, and do it all again the next day.
It’s never been about putting on a show. The Tattley Rappet is about bringing the Moto Guzzi riding community together and connecting with the people and their passions.
Guzzi NZ is proud to support the event, sponsoring the Mike Batenburg Legacy Award: recognising a living, breathing, and unwavering obsession with Moto Guzzi. 2025’s Legacy Awards went to Kiwi Moto Guzzi riders, Neil Roberts, Dave and Brenda Garlick and Barry Davidson.
You’ll see the full spread at the Tattley Rappet: older bikes that have been crossing the country for decades, alongside newer Moto Guzzi’s and everything in between. You’ll meet riders who’ve made it an annual tradition, and others turning up for the first time.
It’s also one of the few events in NZ where Moto Guzzi is the focus, not just part of the mix.
If you’re a Moto Guzzi enthusiast, you’ve just got to come on over. If you love motorbikes, beautiful scenery and people, then this rally is for you too. If you’re thinking about buying or riding a Moto Guzzi, it’s the best place to learn all about them. So, what are you waiting for – start planning!
